Admission and Screening Procedure for INCOMING FRESHMEN STUDENTS

1. Applicants must submit a certified true copy of Senior High School report card or scanned Grade 11 and Grade 12 grades with 1 pc. 2 x 2 ID picture to the Department’s e-mail address:

2. For BSCE, BSEE, BSME and BSAr applicants, the general average and grades in all Mathematics and Physics subjects must be at least 90%. For BSME, Chemistry grade is included in the evaluation. For BSCpE applicants, the general average and grades in all Mathematics and Physics subjects must be at least 85%. This grade requirement does not in any way indicate the difficulty of the course but is influenced by the number of faculty members available in the department.
3. BSCE applicants must be in the STEAM/STEM Track
4. While all our engineering courses require the STEAM/STEM track, BSCpE and BSEE, and BSME applicants whose Senior High strand is not STEAM/STEM may be considered subject to further assessment by the Department Chairpersons and approval of the
5. Along with the grade and track requirements, all qualified applicants are required to take an entrance exam to be scheduled after an initial evaluation of credentials. Scroll down to see the exam schedules at the bottom of this webpage.
6. Payment for the testing fee must be done only after confirmed schedule of entrance examination and the official receipt must be submitted or sent back to the CED Office.

The testing Fee is ₱ 300.00 per applicant, to be paid at the Business and Finance Office in the account 302.0014 College of Engineering Trust Fund. Upon payment indicate name and course applied for. Submit a copy of OR to the Dean’s Office or send through email ([email protected]) for exam schedule.

7. Entrance examination will be scheduled and All exams will be administered only as scheduled. No special schedules will be given.

9. Applicants for BSAr have these as additional requirements:
   1. Applicants who graduated from a strand other than what were mentioned in 5 shall be assessed further by the Department Chair.
   2. Applicants must have good drawing skill and are to self-assess for the following skills (to be verified as the student progresses during the First Semester) :
      • at least an average level of creativity skill
      • at least an average level of visualization skill
      • at least an average level of thinking and reasoning skill
      • at least an average level of analytical skill
   3. An interview will be administered as an additional

11. Qualified applicants will receive an Acceptance Note from the department and this note needs to be submitted to the Admissions Office together with the other requirements for admission.
12. Qualified applicants will receive an e-mail and will be asked to fill-up a questionnaire through this link: . Send proof (screenshot) that the applicant has accomplished this form to the department.
13. The last day for the granting of acceptance notes is on the First Day of the Enrollment for Incoming Freshmen.
14. Applicants proceed with the university enrollment process /enrollment/to complete Steps 1 – 10.

1. Applicants must submit a SHIFTING FORM from the department or college where you had your previous course with 1 pc. 2 x 2 ID picture to the Department’s e-mail address:
